Baby! Baby!

Shout out to Kristina!!! I love you and I'm so glad that I got to spend some time with you yesterday! She works for a company called Doggie Deposit if you're wondering why that sign is back there...she was in Nashville for a trade show. We heard A LOT of poop jokes that night...haha! I guess this can be my 25 week picture, but you can't really tell I have a bump.

So, I've been doing a little light reading about breast feeding lately... what? Are you kidding me?? I'm supposed to do this for how long? And I'm supposed to want to?? If you haven't figured it out, I'm a little scared! Take a look at this quote from an article in babytalk "Blocked milk ducts occurs when one duct becomes partially obstructed. It creates a firm, tender, engorged area, often near the armpits." Also from this article..."Mastitis is a breast infection that occurs in 10 % of breastfeeding women." Yet another... "Thrush is a fungal infection sometimes occurring in moms who are diabetic or have recently taken antibiotics." Really, I don't like the sound of ANY of that. I certainly don't like a 10% infection rate! Geez...
Can I just pump?? I'm guessing I'll feel better about all this once I have my little hunny bunn in my arms, but until then, no thank you!

On to a happier topic! Last weekend Cory and I had a date night!! Woohoo! I guess we better get them in while we can :). We went to a restaurant called St. Johns, and it was SOOOO GOOD! I got to dress up for dinner! This was at 24 weeks... I know Will enjoyed the food because he was letting me know later that night by way of flips in my belly! Oh, you like the shirt? I absolutely LOVE it too! It is so comfortable! Thanks to my terrific mother-in-law!

Bump Update!

I am beginning to LOVE my bump! Cory and I went to a 4th of July minor league baseball game last weekend and had so much fun! They had really cool jerseys that looked like American flags...it made me so glad and proud to be an American. Who wouldn't with baseball, a hot dog, and a beer (a water for me...haha!) See some pics below!

It was so hot!!!

Boat Party 2010!!

Boat Party 2010!! Thanks to all who came...we had a great time! We rented a pontoon boat and took it out on Percy Priest Lake for the day. The weather was fabulous...a little overcast at times but that even turned out to be good b/c the sun is so intense, especially for us prego's. Marshall and Cornelia came!! Cornelia was such a trooper being 28 weeks prego with a baby girl. She is so cute! Of course her and I talked baby... Our friends Mike and Brittany Bannon brought their party barge and their dog Boss. We had a good mix of my friends and Cory's friends...we have THE BEST friends in the world!! Enjoy the pics!!!

First big baby purchase...check!

As Cory and I have been planning for our bundle of joy to arrive, we've been adding up all of the costs that are involved:
crib
crib mattress
dresser/changing table
stroller/carseat
diapers (and nose plugs..haha)
wipes
clothes
baby food/formula
bedding (thank goodness for my mom and Nana who sew!)
diaper bags
Baby swing
High chair and a spill pad to put underneath so my husband doesn't go crazy!
starting the 529 plan (Cory swears that he will be going to a military academy)

This is by no means an all inclusive list...but even as is, it's a little overwhelming! But, thanks to a coupon for 35% off at Babies R Us, we have bought the crib mattress! I know it's kind of a random first purchase but I'm determined to find EVERYTHING that I need on sale! And this happen to be the first thing we found really on sale.

So, week 24 began today! Woo hoo! I'm really looking prego now! My back hurts...I'm feeling more tired....I'm hungry ALL THE TIME....but, I can feel him moving more and more, and that makes it worth it! The movement has gone from a poke here and there to more consistent pokes (I have no idea if it's his hands or feet) and rolling...yes, it feels like he is doing rolls a flips inside of me. It's so wierd, but i love it! Maybe he'll be a swimmer!
